History of the Diana Camera Around 1960, a small firm in Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong, a company called the Great Wall Plastics Factory created a dirt-cheap 120 camera called the “Diana”. This toy camera was made entirely of plastic, each camera costing pennies to make. Quality control was lacking and among shooters; the Diana was considered a dismal failure and was discontinued in the 1970’s. The Diana Camera app captures the history of the little known art camera, and showcases some of the beauty that came from the plastic lensed camera. The app also discusses some of the modern day digital alternatives to the 1960's flop such as the Lensbaby. ----------------------------------------------- Hi there, I just got an iPhone and downloaded my first app - your Diana app!
