| This post will show how to deny access to your application content to other users or to spider bots like google robots or other search engine robots.
1. Go to your application's Dashboard and click on Application Settings 2. Extend Access Control setting and change its value to "Only me"
3. Now your application can be viewed only by you, after you login to SeattleClouds.com Other users (even if logged in) will not see your app. Instead they will see an "Access Denied" page
Same app content will see Google bots or other search engines when they try to access your app. |

| hi Ghenadie..is this meant to hide the backend of the app inside the seattlecloud subdomain? that is the only place the app is "visible" right? the other place would be stored locally on a mobile device and not crawled by any spiders..
thx

| Sal,
Yes, this is right. This is hiding the app on SeattleClouds website. I'm not aware of any crawlers or spiders being able to read app content from installed app on your device. |

| If you have pages with "sync" enabled then use this option with caution.
I had pages with sync is enabled and set access control is set to only me. I got the following in my live apps.
1) Android - refresh status was repeating in an infinite loop, app never opened. 2) Iphone - the pages with sync option displays - Access Denied page.
I turned the security back to default setting and all is well now.
Wanted to share my experience to others before they change on live apps.
Cheers Ivan

| Hi Seattleclouds,
Every app I set to "only me" stopped working totally. I began receiving emails from everywhere. I'm in the process of changing the settings back and so far they are working again. |
|

| We had technical issues on server side with this new feature. We worked on fixing them and we just deployed a new fix to the LIVE website.
We tested and verified it in our test apps. Please try again and let us know if you still encounter any issues. |
